This comic makes me more interested in the nature of "the colors" than any of the actual content.

I always envision The Colors as being like my Voices -mental manifestations of differing opinions for the purpose of debate, given somewhat flexible identities, whose alliances eternally shift based on topic and whose strength varies. When I make up my mind it is either because consensus of all the Voices is reached, or because everyone not within the consensus gives up or is drowned out by the others.
Of course, it could be different. But yes, I too find myself wondering most of all about The Colors. Although the issues can be pretty interesting too.
