I did something similar to this once. And their colors are even pretty close to Halloween M&Ms.

Yeah, this sort of joke has probably been used quite a few times.

And all my character are basic colors, so it's quite likely all of them resemble the M&Ms. Though, it's quite lucky that these three are similar to Halloween colors.
