I'm always amazed that,often times, products that are cheaper, are better quality than more expensive products.

Sometimes, but I find that more commonly, you get what you pay for.

Higher prices mean that more quality can go into the product, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will. Very cheap products might not measure up to higher priced products. Although, just buying the highest priced product on the market, is necessarily a good idea. Of course, I'm not sure how often the cheaper products are better or if that can be proven.

Book on this subject is "Cheap: The High Cost of Discount Culture" by Ellen Ruppel (although this book is more towards black point than greens).
