Too Much National Debt?
White: The U.S. National is approximately 11.9 trillion, which is approximately $38,763 per person.[1]
Black: So what? While we have a large debt, we also have a large GDP.
Black: Plus dividing the debt per citizen isn't really accurate, since the U.S. Has a progressive system and the amount of debt owed is base on income.
White: The U.S. Current GDP is approximately 14.2 trillion dollars or 90% of GDP as 2009. Although it is increasing.[2]
Yellow: We can't continue to spend forever, eventually we'll have to get the debt under control.
Yellow: Plus the more money we borrow, the less confidence our investors have.
Green: While our current level of debt could be considered acceptable, China economy rivals our on and their economy is heaving on investing rather than borrowing.
Green: What advantages does an economy based on borrowing have over one based on investing?
